Morality, Will you kill someone you love, because of love?

I think it always will depend on the situation regardless of what the question is.

Another hypothetical:


You and one other peson are on a deserted island. You have a one serving of food (for convenience and to commemorate Sage's first post lets say its an MRE). The other person is badly injured, but in stable condition, and you are physically fine, however, neither of you have eaten in days. Do you keep the food for yourself, or do you split it?

Give it all to them. The wounded take first priority.

is this person obviously going to die if he doesn't get medical attention soon or is it something they will be able to overcome on their own? (or at least survive long enough to starve)

The person will die of starvation before they die of their injuries. The point of the question is whether to give one person say 3 days more to survive or to give two people 1.5 more days to survive. Him being wounded isn't really important at all.


Now, Sage, explain please. I've never heard someone say that before, and I'm curious why the wounded take priority.

I've seen my own men get shot infront of my own two eyes. I've made a vow to myself to never let it happen again without doing all that I can. This is, of course, that they wish for me to do so.

I think if I had been in the same situation as Sage, I would not think diffrently from him.
