The meaning of fucking life

What is it? Does it even exist? Can it be found through spirituality, does it have to be found through science? Are they even mutually exclusive? Just give your take on the meaning of life and hang on for the ride.

There isn't mutually exclusive one. The meaning to life is what ever you want it to be, and your meaning to life isn't someone else's meaning to life.

But if eveyone's meaning of life is different, then there is no real meaning of life, because we're just making it up.

Originally my post started with "There isn't one" but I kinda thought that sounded a little hypocritical saying there isn't one and then explaining what it is.

I don't think it is, obviously. But I'm immersed in psuedo-hypocrisy all the time. So, here's a shocker, the atheists are in agreement. Here's hoping Andy and Ariel will add something soon.

Well, everyone has different views on life,
but overall.
I think the meaning of life is to just be the best person you can be, and to procreate.

Well if you say be the best person you can be, you will have to define what it is to be a good person, and I would be very interested to see that.

If you mean the reason I think life is worth living right now, it's to make Ariel and my other friends happy, and to try and live an existence I'm happy with.

If you mean the reason I think that I'm alive, well then that would be because my parents wanted a kid, obviously.

If you mean something deeper than I don't think there is one.

i personally don't have one... which is to say... i don't give a shit...

i am not saying i don't like being happy... and i'm sure that eventually i will end up in a situation similar to brandon's (on second thought, probably not), but for now... i'm just kinda doing whatever

I'm pretty sure most people like being happy. Kyle seems to think almost the exact same on every issue as me from my sophmore year. Look out for a much more enlightened and well rounded Kyle once he goes through TOK.

And Kyle, I'm not sure you want to end up in a situation similar to mine, depending on how similar you mean.

3: Yes, to be a good philosopher, you have to be willing to change your mind. As such, I have done so consistently in TOK. That's the main reason I get mad at people when they tell me that I just tell them they're wrong. I change my mind all the freaking time, it's just that their arguments blow.

For lack of a better place to put it:

If one beats up a masochist, is it considered sexual assault? If said masochist enjoys the beating is it a crime, or for that matter, immoral?

Also, any other fetishes and whatnot that could be stimulated by illegal/wrong acts.

It is, because laws are enforced by the letter and not the spirit of the crime. So yes, it is considered sexual assault.
