Because I, for one, never saw them as a kid. I watched one episode of a GUndam series that wasn't Wing when we were kids, but I could never figure out the schedule to where I knew what was coming on. It was just limited to whatever Toonami felt like playing that afternoon. Not only that, but having watched Toonami from the very beginning, I was really attached to TOM 1. He died and I figured out that Dragon Ball Z was just the same old shit over and over again in the same week. That was a bad week, so I took about a month off from watching Toonami to get back on my feet.

Have any of you ever seen an image from an anime or manga that you hadn't seen or read and it made you want to watch or read it? Or have you ever seen an image from something you had already finished it that made you reread or rewatch it? If you have, post the image and a summary of why it made you feel that way.

How about this: I need some /m/ stuff to watch. I'll watch just about anything, as long as it's under 30 episodes in length.

You're really pushing it by saying under thirty episodes. A lot of good mecha is around 50 episodes, and most other good mecha is 6 or so.

OK, first off I would like to start by strongly recommending Gundam SEED Destiny, it's a great series with some amazing characters and I think it's right up your alley.

Is anybody else watching Aoi Hana? That anime makes me feel really uncomfortable, and I have no idea why. I'm friends with lots of lesbians, so why does this show freak me out? The only thing I can think is that maybe it suckerpunched me. I had heard people call it yuri, but I blew that off as idiots looking too much into a casual friendship, but then episode two comes and it got implied pretty epicly, and then by episode three, the entire damned cast was gay. WTF?

I haven't watched it yet, but planned to.

I hope the next episode doesn't make me feel so queasy. If I was a girl I would be scared that I was a lesbian.

Ok, how about we talk about the end of Gunbuster/Diebuster and how much we love it?

I just mentioned that to someone yesterday, I believe it was Zero. He wouldn't believe me when I told him how awesome it was since all he had seen was the first episode of Gunbuster.

That's ridiculous, he likes mecha, and it's almost required viewing for our group, and yet he still hasn't seen it.

Also, I fucking told you that Seishuu would lose to Ryuo. Now the remaining twenty something episodes will consist of them actually fulfilling WakaBAWW's dream. I just hope a romance doesn't develop with Kou and the new girl. Also, I'm sorta concerned that the anime will finish before the manga. Second season mayhaps?

So, Kobato sure was pretty CLAMP this week...

Was it? I haven't seen it yet so I wouldn't know. So far it's looking like CLAMP has two polar opposite shows this season.

One of them isn't very good. Can you guess which one?

You don't think one of them is very good, and i know which one it is. I happen to like it, even if it is really shallow. Although I'm not going to go out of my way to say it's special or anything.

It's not special, it's lpretty much Nyan Koi! with a liberal application of CLAMP. My problem with it is not that that is a bad thing, it's that the people who like Nyan Koi! like it because it's a fun way to kill some time and pretty good for a harem show. The people who like Kobato treat it like an instant classic. Not you, obviously, but in general, people just feel like Kobato is less bad than Nyan Koi!, which it isn't.

I know what you mean with how people treat a show being something that can lessen the shows value. I think it's on about the same level as Nyan Koi! but with the added addition of CLAMP artwork and styling, which is something I always enjoy.

Speaking of CLAMP, Kimi ni Todoke 3 is out.
This weeks episode was awesome as well, and ended way differently than I expected.

Just watched Kobato.
So not only do we have the tall guy from Tsubasa in Kobato but now we have the Chobits sisters as well? Not to mention the same apartment complex as in Chobits and the same lady running it, she's the mama that Chi referred to when she gave Kobato the bed. And the bakery that Kobato got the umbrella from is the same bakery were Chi got a job in episode 8 of Chobits.

So far it seems like most of the references are to Chobits, I wonder why?
