| More music news for nobody to care about or comment on: 1. Turns out Thom York really has written a song for the new Twilight movie. In even worse news, Bon Iver also did a song for it. The biggest problem I have with this is that I might end up having to actually buy the Twilight soundtrack, and that puts money in Stephanie Meyer's pocket.
2. Gigantic cocktease band Blur has been on a reunion tour lately, and guitarist Graham Coxon and bassist Alex James have been slyly dropping in comments about the band "jamming together" leading some people to speculate on a future album. This now appears to have been wishful thinking on our part. However, at least they enjoyed their tour. Said James: "I've spent the last week staring at a bonfire muttering to myself. I haven't been able to contain the joy that [the reunion concerts] brought to all of us. It was very, very emotional. Everything we hoped it would be and more."
3. Overall noise band Fuck Buttons has a new album on the way. It's called Tarot Sport, and it was produced by Andrew Weatherall of Primal Scream. So, you know, if you like that kind of thing, jump for joy. Or you can celebrate like me, and act like a fucking professional.
4. Okay, so a couple of days ago, I decided not to post the news about French-synth-pop musician Anthony Gonzalez (M83) had struck a security guard at one of his shows. He said in his own defense that he did it because the security guard had been getting rough with some kids who had been invited during the show to come up on stage and dance. However, when you watch the video, what you see is a douche with a guitar shoving a middle aged man who was just trying to do his job. I like M83, and so I decided to wait and see how things went on before I posted what was sure to be a very angry post about Gonzalez. However, this morning Gonzalez officially apologized for his actions. I'm going to quote it in part, because I feel like he did a damn good job of making an ass out of himself and just as good of a job making up for it: "I sincerely apologize for the way I handled the situation, and in particular for trying to physically interfere with security staff at the venue who I fully accept were only trying to do their job of ensuring proper protection for both the band and members of the audience."

| Hey Garin? Torrent the soundtrack, then baleete all the songs you don't want. That way, no money for Meyer!
So, I found out about this new band today through, of all places, the Colbert Report. It's a Swedish jazz/swing/hip-hop band called Movits!. They're really good, but all their stuff is in Swedish, so you probably won't know what they're saying. And I know, it sounds like a really weird combo, but it works really well. As far as I know, their only album out is Appelknyckerjazz (Apple Stealing Jazz), and I just got it. I'll report back with how good it is overall once I'm done listening to it.

| Okay, I'm tired of this forum being so dead. So I'm just going to post whatever music I've been enjoying here when it gets dead. The Knife - Silent Shout http://www.mediafire.com/?c2m1x5zjmpp - Spoiler:
Creepy synth-pop made by a brother and sister duo from Sweden. Totally great. If you download it, listen a few times and then tell me what you think, that way I'll have motivation to keep giving you good music, and this forum won't die before I hit 1,000 posts.

| Posting this one too because I keep forgetting to tell people about it: The Twilight Sad - Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters http://www.mediafire.com/?lnmrr50wun3 - Spoiler:
This is pretty much the only Scottish rock music I can listen to without tearing my hair out. Something about the accent pisses me off when it comes to singing. Kinda noisy, a good introduction to noise rock if you want to get into it, but it's still very pretty when it wants to be, which keeps it from being impossible to listen to for people who aren't noise rock fans.

| Ok, so. I've been really busy with all the anime i've been keeping up with combined with not having a working computer and it's kept me from listening to much of anything posted here but I have The Knife - Silent Sound playing right now and I'll let you know what I in a later post, the reason I'm making this post is to make my own suggestion. EDIT: Ok, I'm done with Silent Sound. I liked it, although it's nothing like what I'm used to listening too. Karen O & The Kids - Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack http://www.mediafire.com/?zhjmfhzximw# - Spoiler:
I haven't been able to stop listening to it the last few days so I thought I'd share it with anyone who hadn't already heard it.

| I've always wondered what it would be like to hear a song and then hear it in a movie or anime. Since I listen to bands that I find out about from things like that I wouldn't know what it was like to hear a song I already knew. | |
